Their foods are not cooked, extruded or heat-processed in any way. The Honest Kitchen foods are easy to prepare and require No cooking! Simply hydrate with warm water, and in just ten minutes, a wholesome, colorful meal that is loaded with naturally occurring, wholesome nutrition, is ready to serve. Additional raw meat and bones* or cooked meat can be mixed in, if desired, without disrupting critical nutrient values. Their formulas are completely free of all chemicals, by-products, fillers, wheat, corn, soy, rice and beet pulp.

*Note: never give your dog cooked bones. When bones are cooked their molecular structure is altered and the bones become brittle and splinter which can be very dangerous to your dog.

Feeding Guidelines (all foods):

The following daily amounts (DRY quantity) should be adjusted to suit your individual dog's requirements, which vary according to age, breed and level of daily activity. The Honest Kitchen's dehydrated foods must be hydrated with warm water, wait 10 minutes before serving. Each bucket of food will make just over 4 times its weight in fresh food, when hydrated.

A full standard US Measuring Cup of dehydrated food (which is 8 oz by volume or 4 oz by weight) will hydrate to make about 1lb of fresh food. Half to one cup of extra meat or other ingredients may be mixed in with each cup of food, once hydrated.
